Following the tragic deaths of his wife and son, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle devotes his life to spreading the word of spiritualism. As his reputation, and sanity, are called in to question by a scandal-hungry press, Conan Doyle’s belief in the ‘Summerland’ becomes obsession. Then one night in 1920 he meets Harry Houdini, the world’s greatest magician, whose own dark secret will push their extraordinary friendship to the brink and beyond.

Based on a true story, Summerland uses the magic, mystery and mayhem of Music Hall to bring to life an era in which everything was possible and where death was no longer a one-way door.

Greenwich Theatre

Summerland will preview in June 2012 at Greenwich Theatre London followed by a national tour in Winter 2012 & Spring 2013.
